We extend a warm welcome to all to our services today and trust that the Lord will richly bless our time together.

Services at 12 noon and 6pm

‘There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…If God is for us, who can be against us?’ (Romans 8:1,31)

Preaching today: Both services today are taken by Rev Andrew Coghill.

Preaching next week: Both services will be taken by the minister.

  • Sunday School meets as usual today
  • The Prayer Meeting will be on Thursday at 7.30pm.
  • The minister and Anne would like to thank all those who were involved with the reception in Sgoil an Rubha on Thursday, and for the generous presentations made to us. Your kindness was overwhelming. We look forward to seeing some of you in Edinburgh over coming days.
  • Please remember the General Assembly in your prayers this week. Dr Campbell’s installation as the new Moderator will take place tomorrow evening, and he will give his address to the Assembly on Tuesday morning. These events, as well as other sessions of the Assembly, will be available to watch live online at http://assembly.freechurch.org/.  The minister expects to be back from Edinburgh on Saturday 26th (DV).
  • Point2Life will be on this evening in Aird Community Centre at 8:30pm with Kerri Smith and Heather MacKay from Shawbost speaking
  • Women for Mission: There will be a light lunch at the MA Macleod Hall Stornoway on Thursday 24th May from 11.45am until 1.30pm. A video link-up to the Annual Meeting of WFM at the Free Church General Assembly takes place upstairs in the hall from 1.45pm until 3.30pm.
  • There will be a congregational fellowship in Ionad Stoodie on 27th May – we hope to have one of the men from Stauros with us sharing a word of testimony. Team 5 will be responsible for the catering arrangements.
  • There will be a Big Youth Fellowship on Sunday 27th May at 8.30pm in the Rev M.A.Macleod Memorial Hall. This will be the last ‘All for Jesus’ meeting for the term and Dena Macleod (Stornoway) will speak about “The Message”. (D.V.)  All young people very welcome.
  • Challenger Bus Fundraiser: A curry takeaway is to be arranged for Saturday 26th May at Ionad Stoodie from 5-8pm, to raise funds for the Challenger bus. If anyone in the congregation can help, please get in touch with Christine Macleod on  870884 or Andy Cumming on 870343.
  • If you are willing to sponsor the minister and Stephen on their Barra – Butt cycle ride for Macmillan Nurses (12-14 June), there is an opportunity to do so on the sheet at the door.
